In autumn, our local buffet day celebrates our local Peipsi Onion, then during spring we celebrate our local fish in all its forms. This seasonal event is not as grand as the one in September, but it is nevertheless special. Local households will open their buffets where at least one of the main dishes is made of Peipsi fish.
Buffets are open from 11 am to 4 pm.
This year, fish food (and there are other things on the menu) are offered by 21 buffets in the entire Sibulatee (Onion Route) area. Information about the buffets will appear here under the event https://www.facebook.com/events/2101113726899940
Important:
The buffets are open on May 11 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Buffets are open in any weather. Put on the right clothes yourself, check the weather forecast. Take cash with you, in some places you can pay by card, in others only with cash. VONK (or TYDWY) – take your dishes with you. For example, you can start by taking a drinking cup with you. But if you want to be particularly caring, you can also take a fork and spoon with you. In general, pets are welcome. Fish Buffet Day of the Onion Route 2024 is part of the Southern Estonia community program, part of the main program of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024.
